Privacy Policy

Realm is operated by Elegance Labs Inc. ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Realm mobile and web applications (the "App"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

Email address — collected when you create an account. We use it to send a one-time sign-in code and, occasionally, product updates.
Mobile phone number — collected when you sign in or verify your account by phone, or when you affirmatively opt in to receive Realm text messages. We use it to send one-time verification codes and text messages you request. See Text Messaging (SMS) below.
Display name and handle — chosen by you during or after onboarding, used to identify you within the App.
Avatar image — uploaded voluntarily. Stored securely and displayed only within the App.

Information collected automatically

Usage data — how you interact with content (views, likes, saves, shares, chat opens, session duration). Used solely to personalize your feed and improve the App.
Device token — collected when you enable push notifications, used only to deliver notifications from us to you.

How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To personalize the content shown in your feed.
To send push notifications you have opted into.
To send text messages you have opted into, including verification, onboarding, and product updates.
To improve the App and diagnose technical issues.
To send infrequent product updates to your email address.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Text Messaging (SMS)

Realm uses SMS for account verification and, only when you separately opt in, marketing and onboarding messages about Realm.

Account and security messages — when you sign in or verify your account using your mobile phone number, we send one-time verification codes by SMS. Message frequency varies based on your activity.
Marketing and onboarding messages — if you check a Realm SMS consent box on a landing page or other sign-up flow, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Realm about app download links, product updates, and ways to use AI in group chats. Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per month.
Message and data rates — message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Help and opt-out — reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out of further messages. Opting out of verification messages may prevent you from signing in, and opting out of marketing messages stops future marketing texts.

We do not sell or share mobile opt-in data. Mobile information, including your phone number and SMS consent, will not be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share your number only with service providers that deliver these texts on our behalf, solely to send the messages you have requested.

Content in the App

Content displayed in the App — including articles, videos, and summaries — is AI-generated. It is intended for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

Chat conversations are processed by AI systems to generate responses. Do not share sensitive personal, financial, or medical information in chat.

Data Sharing

We share data only in these limited circumstances:

Service providers — third-party vendors who help us operate the App (e.g., cloud infrastructure, push notification delivery). They are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for other purposes.
Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Realm or others.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
